Contemporary Memphis Style Abstract Painting
Revel in the beauty of imperfection complemented by the best in craftsmanship and sustainable design.
Wabi Sabi & Kintsukuroi
Wabi Sabi is the Japanese philosophy that celebrates the impermanence of material objects and the beauty in imperfection. Paired with Kintsukuroi, the Japanese tradition of fixing broken objects with infused gold, Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern melds the best of both traditions and blends them with an eye for quality and beauty.
In keeping with Wabi Sabi tradition, we celebrate and have reverence for imperfections that reveal the richly storied past of objects, art, and furnishings within the collection.
Original finishesOur pieces are generally offered without refinishing, preserving the patina, character and storied past of each. In their original condition, they may show the marks of a life well lived: surface scratches, nicks, scuffs and watermarks. This is the Wabi Sabi way.
Should you prefer a piece refinished or reupholstered, we would be pleased to arrange this on request, quoted separately.

About the Curator
Erika Dillingham
Curator and President
Erika Dillingham has been surrounded by antique and vintage art, furniture, and objects for almost half a century. Growing up outside of Philadelphia, PA, she spent her weekends in a small flea market in Chester County, where she began to appreciate art, antiques, and the stories they tell from a very young age.
In her 20s she lived in Japan, where she gained appreciation for Japanese culture and traditions, and over the past 30 years has incorporated them into her sustainable design philosophy and into the pieces she curates.
Today Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern brings you some of the finest and most sought-after pieces, ranging in age from the 17th to the 21st centuries.
