Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern:
Curator of fine vintage, antique, and modern home décor, specializing in Mid-Century, Post Modern, and Antique and Vintage furniture, art, and other finely crafted decorative objects.
Wabi Sabi is the Japanese philosophy that celebrates the impermanence of material objects and the beauty in imperfection. Paired with Kitsukuroi, the Japanese tradition of fixing broken objects with infused gold, Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern melds the best of both traditions and blends them with an eye for quality and beauty that informs expert curation of each item we curate. In keeping with Wabi Sabi tradition, we celebrate and have reverence for imperfections that reveal the richly storied past of objects, art, and furnishings within the collection.
As society turns away from the disposable and rediscovers quality craftsmanship and tradition, the goal of Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern is to promote sustainability and appreciation for fine craftsmanship that stands the test of time.
Located just 30 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta, Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern (Wabi Sabi Enterprises, LLC) has hundreds of well-curated and beautiful items in inventory. New items arrive weekly. We look forward to assisting you with your next full interior design project or in finding the quintessential statement piece for your collection.
About the Curator:
Erika Dillingham has been surrounded by antique and vintage art, furniture, and objects for almost half a century. Growing up outside of Philadelphia, PA, she spent her weekends in a small flea market in Chester County, where she began to appreciate art, antiques, and the stories they tell from a very young age. Throughout her teen-age years, she traveled the United States and developed a love and appreciation for local arts and antiques communities and began honing her craft of curating and collecting. As she entered her 20s, she had the opportunity to live in Japan, where she gained appreciation for Japanese culture and traditions. She brought this knowledge back with her to the United States and over the past 30 years, has incorporated it into her overall sustainable design philosophy and into the design elements she curates. Being an artist herself, she brings a wealth of knowledge and an eye for design to her role as Curator and President of Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern. She also brings a lifetime of experience and palpable energy and enthusiasm with her in her approach to every client and every project.
Wabi Sabi Vintage and Modern has partnered with excellent curators in the Northeast (based in Ipswich, Massachusetts) and Southeast (Florida) to bring you some of the finest and most sought after pieces ranging in age from the 17th-21st centuries.
In addition to our curated collections, Erika is available for in-person interior decoration consultation within the Atlanta Metro, and by virtual consultation outside of the metro area.
