Mid-20th Century Art Deco Transitional Modern Italian Loveseat in Distressed Cigar Leather in the Manner of Carlo Di Carli
Description
An exceedingly rare example of art deco and transitional modern design, believed to be from Italy and dating between the 1940s and 50s. This small two person sofa or love seat retains the original distressed leather. It features a low profile with slanted angular legs, curved arms and a high back. In the manner of Carlo di Carli, though a direct attribution is not confirmed. A sophisticated, yet simple and timeless example of early 20th century design. Acquired from the private collection of a prominent Atlanta area estate.
