Description

A richly patinated and ornate brass tabletop mirror on stand, dating approximately from the late Victorian Era (late 19th to early 20th Century). Retaining the original mirror and backing. Mirrored tilts to adjust.

Frame marked N. B. & I. W. for National Brass and Iron Works of Reading, Pennsylvania, which was in operation from 1891-1911 and specialized in manufacturing fine brass and iron decorative objects. Since this company was only in business for 20 years, this piece could be considered quite rare.
